GENETIC ATTRACTION

People who meet through reunion describe many different emotions. Some are numb, some are excited. Some people have said that laying their eyes on their relative was like looking in to their own soul.

For a FEW people in reunion, this "meeting of the soul" can result in a physical attraction. We call this "GENETIC SEXUAL ATTRACTION".Those who have experienced this describe a very strong physical attraction to the other party. This can occur between mothers/sons; fathers/daughters; brothers/sisters. It does NOT occur often and should not be a reason to hold back a hug if you feel like one.

People who have these feelings are not "CRAZY" or abnormal. These feelings can stem from a long awaited hope and need to meet the biological relative. It is VERY important to seek counselling should you have strong physical attractions to your reunion partner. You will need help in setting boundries that will protect everyone and will help you form a positive, healthy relationship
